Sydney Monet

Actor | Model | Singer

Sydney’s interests go beyond acting. With a love for singing, dance, and modeling - Sydney prides themselves on their versatility.

They are a trained classical Soprano of 10 years, and a proud member of the Trans and GNC choir ‘Transcend’ led by Dr. Felix Graham. As a dancer, Sydney has trained with Joel Hall, The Joffrey Ballet, Luis Salgado, and The Lou Conte Dance Studio; with experience in Ballet, Jazz, and Musical Theatre styles.

They also can be found singing (and dancing) in night life spaces around the city as their Burlesque alter ego; Mx. Monet L’erotic - where Sydney combines their theatrical background, musical prowess, dance ability, and abundant creativity to create their own work when not on contract. Performing in well known venues such as The Slipper Room, Club Cumming, Madame X, House of Yes, and more. Additionally, Sydney can found modeling for art classes at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.

As an artist, Sydney strives to do important work and tell stories that have the power to free souls, touch hearts, and stimulate minds. It’s extremely important to them to proudly represent the Queer, Black, and Disabled communities through their varied work. Not only inspiring those who will come after, but making space for marginalized individuals in this industry to be seen and celebrated in all their forms.

Sydney believes that art has the power to change the world, and that is exactly what they intend to do. If that’s what you hope to do as well, welcome. They implore you to reach out and share your vision.
